Roser López Espinosa

Roser López Espinosa graduated in contemporary dance in the MTD – Theaterschool / Higher School of Arts in Amsterdam (AHK). In 2005 she was granted a Vienna danceWEB scholarship and trained with former Olympic gymnastics coach Jaume Miró. She has danced in The Netherlands with Katie Duck / Magpie Music Dance Company, Marta Reig Torres and Pere Faura. In Barcelona she has worked with Àngels Margarit / Cia Mudances since 2008 (Corol·la, Kolbebasar, Flexelf, Capricis), as well as with Cesc Gelabert and filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta, Iago Pericot (Mozartnu), Las Malqueridas, and Bebeto Cidra. Since 2006 she also develops her own work as a maker (The lizard’s skin, Còncau, Miniatura, Before we fall), which have won international recognition with awards at Masdanza, the Burgos-NY and Madrid choreography competitions. In 2011 the dance review Susy-Q ranked her amongst the most promising young choreographers on the Spanish scene. In 2013 she premiered the duet Lowland, in coproduction with theater Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona and the suppport of Dansateliers in Rotterdam and Melkweg Theater in Amsterdam, among others. Her work has been performed at European international festivals as well as in Egypt, Canada and Japan.
